Valentine's Day

Image
For most people, Valentine's day is a day to look forward to: the giving and receiving of chocolates, flowers or just a simple token of affection is exchanged on that day. For most people every day is Valentine's day because they love each other every day, but for others it can be a sad day, a  painful reminder that they are alone and I am one. I know I may have well meaning friends who will say something like "Well you have Jesus, Show him your love", but I have told Jesus that even though I know you loves me, can you be as wonderful as some of the male characters in the books I read?" I know that what I read is only fictional, but truly believe that guys can be romantic and wonderful. (Real life men) I also believe  that not ALL the good ones are taken so where is he?  I am trying to be like Rebekah in the book of Genesis who wasn't looking as far as I know. I want something like that to happen to me because I am not being found by the right man online. P

Life in the Old Testament

I have been reading Genesis since the beginning of the year and I have come to some conclusions. However, what I heard among friends, I have proven myself ignorant to what life is like in the Old Testament.  The Bible never speaks about what kind of  things Sarah, Rebekah and Rachel did. I know that they had to be submissive to their husbands (Read about Sarah In Peter 3) I also know they were home makers or domestic engineers, but did they make a living as their husbands did? If she is a teacher, she is only one for her children. I would say she is in two words: The household manager.  I was only proven ignorant about that one  issue, but  not about the others. As I reflected on what I read so far, I have also noticed that the men  took care of livestock. I am sure they did other things, but Abraham, Isaac and Jaco

The Year in Review

2012 has been quite a year for me. Although, I have only seen a few things come to pass, it  hasn't been that great either.  My book Marge which I thought would make sales, turned out be a  flop and to my dismay, my publisher turn out to be a scam! I wanted so bad to become a best selling author but Publish America has priced my book so high that no one wants to buy it! The only thing they are good at is promising to publish your book-- that is as submitted.         I did not know anyone who could proofread my manuscript nor did I have a tool installed to spell and grammar check. I actually thought there were no  mistakes in it until my aunt who was the first to point out there were grammar mistakes in my book in a  review she gave me.  Later an  author friend told me the same thing so I checked and they were right.         I also tried to get my publisher to release my rights to my book to me, but  to no avail. My book was held captive by ruthless scam artists.  However m
